I think this has been around for a little while, and was deferred last year, but seems to be back on track again. I was reminded of it this while when I was chatting to my financial adviser last week about a couple of life insurance policies that I have that are written in trust and he said he was seeking clarification on whether they would need to register. If this is the case, this may affect a lot of people who have life insurance written in trust. However, I note the article says:
FT wrote:"Some trusts will be exempt from the process, including life insurance trusts that pay out only on death, serious illness or disabled trusts and bank accounts held on behalf of minors or adults who have lost capacity"
