[*]A Fool and His Money - Topic sunder Investing Strategy?
Clariman
Many thanks to you both for the updated list. Fantastic progress.
The TMF board (opened in 2001) was in more recent years known as "A fool And His Money..." (noting the small cap f).
Formerly known as "Financial scams" and then "Financial Scams?" but renamed on legal advice. It had approximately 30,000 posts (ignoring the numerous deletions) and was watched, inter alia, by the City of London Police, certain financial journalists and the scumbags (a JakNife favourite) from the Boiler Rooms themselves.
I don't believe it would sit comfortably under Investing Strategies and I am not sure you and stooz would want such a board/topic at all. This given the many difficulties (and a couple or so court cases) that TMF endured due to its existence.
I was only ever been involved in the board on a pro bono basis but there are many hundreds over the years who might have been scammed, were it not for the board.
A tricky one, especially in the early days, but perhaps a separate forum or sub forum could be created at some stage.
For posterity perhaps, here is JakNife's old FAQ at the WayBackMachine:
