Topics - date order listing

If I look at, for example, viewforum.php?f=21 the Topics are ordered by 'Last post'.

Is there a simple way I can find Topics ordered by the date of the original first post in the thread, by changing my settings or similar?

Simple only please, if it exists, and I appreciate the way it is presently set up is down to the phpBB® Forum Software.

I may have the wrong answer but if you go to the 'cog' just below the board title (the line that has the 'Post Reply' button) one of the items you can set is 'Sort Results by:"

What I don't know is whether the sort is global, or just that board or even just that session.

None of the above. The "cog" is Advanced Search, not settings.

Instructions on a PC - Click the dropdown next to your name, click User Control Panel, then Board Preferences, and Edit Display options.

Change "Display post order direction:" to Descending

That still only uses the Last Post date, not the First Post date as asked by the OP. I can't see a way to do it.
