Is it possible to set an email alert when a comment is added to a particular discussion/thread? Thanks.

Re: Email alerts
Yes. First of all, note the spanner button at the top and bottom of this (and every) thread. If you click on it you get choices that include Subscribe topic and Bookmark topic. One of these is what you want.
Now set up what kind of email notifications you want by clicking on your name (Jam2Day) at the top-ish right of the screen, then select User Control Panel, then the Board preferences tab, then Edit notifications. Here's a shortcut: ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options
Turn on the ones you want, and in particular note Someone replies to a topic you have bookmarked and Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed.
If you go back to the Overview page of your User Control Panel you'll see that on the left you have Manage subscriptions and Manage bookmarks, which let you do just that.
The difference between subscriptions and bookmarks is that you can subscribe to a topic or an entire forum, whereas you can only bookmark a topic.
