When 400,000 barbarians threatened to kick seven shades or manure of Rome and it's emperor I hardly imagine he sent them a lovely message saying please don't or I'll have to send my army to discuss this further with you. I'm sure a two word [perhaps Anglo Saxon had reached Rome? ] response would have conveyed in every way what needed to be said.

However, we have rules so we can at least enjoy discussing them
