Why has TLF website been responding so slowly all through today?

And no, it isn't: my pc, my network, my router, my broadband, my ISP (AFAIK), or indeed any other website I have tried today.

It was OK for me yesterday morning
during the afternoon and evening it was dreadfully slow
I have seen posts here before about it being like this, but I have never noticed it before

Haven't experienced any speed problems on TLF either yesterday or ATM.

We are aware of the current performance issues and will resolve them by moving to a new hosting platform. However a prerequisite to that is upgrading the discussion board software to a more recent level. That requires Stooz being able to allocate a chunk of his free time in which to do that work.

well it's definitely not ads on TLF that causes a speed issue, as I have an ad blocker

It will be sporadically slow and then fast until we upgrade and move to another host.
