Favicon for The Lemon Fool
I greatly appreciate everything that you've done to get this site up and running Stooz and Clariman.
Dare I be so cheeky to suggest one other change?
I wonder if it is possible for you to add a favicon so that it will be easier for me to find this site amongst all my bookmarked investing sites. At the moment since there is no favicon it takes me a little longer to find it in my bookmarks. Of course I love coming here so want to get here as quickly as I can.
Sorry to be a bother.
Thanks again.

Re: Favicon for The Lemon Fool
Another supporter for an icon (I like the lemon idea).
When I have many tabs open, the icon may be the only part of the tab that's meaningful. Currently, I'm looking at a "sheet of paper with a folded corner" (Chrome) which is the default used by quite a few sites, so blends into the background too easily. The same problem with Edge, Opera and Firefox.
Appreciate there are a ton of ideas / suggestions and only a little time in which to develop them, so hope this is an easy one to implement!

Seconded! (or thirded, or… fourthed?)
- take the lemon image here: styles/prosilver/theme/images/lemon.png
- crop/reduce to a 16x16px square
- save as file favicon.ico
- upload to server on root
- add to <head></head> of page template the following: <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico">
and bob's yer uncle.

Re: Favicon for The Lemon Fool
It now looks even better. I can see a more accurately formed lemon, with some greenery etc.

If you need it making transparent and supplying as a PNG, send me the file and I will do it for you in photoshop.

Re: Favicon for The Lemon Fool
The favicon now appears on the tab (in Chrome). It doesn't show in the taskbar though - should it? And if so, is it something at my end that needs fixing?

As is, it's an icon file. favicon.ico

You make the .ico file from an image. If there is a higher resolution image than 16px available then I can make it transparent, create a whole range of sizes for different uses and then supply them to be used on the site. I supplied these in an earlier post, but I used the Lemon in the header as I don't have the Lemon with a leaf.

An icon file is an image . Windows used to (95? 98?) have an icon (and cursor) editor but that disappeared somewhere along the way, leaving one to find other solutions....
Yes, what you suggest would be fine -- although I always find that scaling down a larger image inevitably means fiddling about to get rid of the anti-aliased not-quite-white pixels that look like they should go transparent but don't. The best icons are the ones drawn at their target size, rather than scaled from another. But in any case, if there's not a higher resolution image available, you know where to get the 16x16
