First forage

Just enjoyed my first wild-foraged food of the season. A bit late really: the wild garlic in tonight's salad was delicious, but not as tender as it would've been a week or two ago (when I was alas affected by lurgy).

Haven't seen any really appetising-looking patches of that other spring delicacy, the nettle. Hmmm ...

I find the stuff too strong to eat raw, I picked a zip lock bag full, washed it and put in freezer to use in cooked dishes and soup ,it does not need to be so tender if cooked.

lots of nettles here.

really useful when greens are in short supply .
