A glut of strawberries.
Last year, the new strawberry bed produced about half a dozen fruit.
This year, over 60lb and counting.
Surprising what one can do with an unfreezable fruit;
Milkshake of course.
Add to Salad.
Jam.
Cake
With chocolate.
etc
The real surprise is the extent to which they can accompany a hot meal.
Porridge.
Sea bream
Pork chop
Chicken.
What else have you paired with strawberries?

Try them with top quality vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of top quality balsamic vinegar and a grind of black pepper. I make my own vanilla ice cream using the recipe from icecreamscience.com/ also I use 15 years old balsamic.

===============================
strawberries freeze fine .
there are often small or deformed ones , or just a glut .
we then eat them lightly stewed with cream .
sadly this year many are getting taken by mice before they are full ripened.

A friend always has her strawberries with black pepper.
It's surprisingly OK, but I prefer greek yogurt

They're good to drink if blended. Use a base of apple or carrot juice. Add chilli or mint for a flavour that contrasts the sweetness nicely (but note - just putting a fresh chilli in a juicer gets disappointingly little flavour from it). Use either as a juice drink or as a mixer for vodka or gin.
