Hi all,
does anyone have experience with Curve? My card has been blocked for a week. I have not been told why and it's impossible to get an answer from any communication channel I try. I have raised on Resolver and have tried to raised a complaint with Curve, but no joy.
DAK what I can do to get help?

I have to admit that I was mystified as I didn't know that Curve was even available in the UK. It started off as a debit card that linked to your other cards, so in theory allowing you to carry only one card.
So the credit card has only been here for a month?

There are so many Fintech cards around. Maybe stick with Revolut, Wise, Monese, Vivid, Sogexia, Bunq, Tomorrow etc?

There are so many Fintech cards around. Maybe stick with Revolut, Wise, Monese, Vivid, Sogexia, Bunq, Tomorrow etc?

Yes it's been available for years and up until now I've been a very happy customer. It's a debit card (Mastercard) that sits above the actual payment card and routes the payment to that. 3 main benefits are fee-free foreign transactions, cashback and the retention of rewards in the underlying payment card. The free version is good and I had that for a couple of weeks to get to understand how it worked then upgraded to Curve Metal, which is the paid-for version but gives even more benefits. I recovered the annual fee in about 10 weeks due to cashback, rewards and foreign fee savings.
But the problem is with customer service...while very polite and ostensibly helpful, they don't actually do anything!

Just a thought, but maybe re-installing the app? I've solved a few problems in the past by doing this.

Not surprised about the help centre. The worst for me was Revolut who insisted on webchat, staffed by people whose English was not the best and didn't seem to care that my card was blocked. I threatened to report them to the FCA and Lithuanian police for fraud, and that seemed to work! Then a problem with proving tax residency caused by the app suddenly thinking I was tax resident in three countries, including Ireland!

Thanks for confirming that Curve is available in the UK. Yes, it does look useful. However, I'm not sure I'd want details of all my cards held by one organisation. But I am rather a paranoid, cynical and suspicious bugger.

Happy to say problem is all fixed now. Got a 2 line email from Curve: "We've investigated your account and your card is now unblocked. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused". As expected, no information on why they blocked it or what I should do to avoid a recurrence!

Curve's customer service issues seem to be a common complaint.
Have you tried reaching out to them through social media? Sometimes, companies are more responsive on platforms like Twitter or Facebook.
Also, have you checked your email for any notifications or updates regarding your card? It's a long shot, but it might be worth a look.
I've heard that escalating the issue to a financial ombudsman can sometimes be effective. However, this is usually a last resort.
