I have two credit cards, first direct and Halifax Clarity, no recent changes to either. Combined credit limit about £15k, quite often have up to £2-3k used (paid off monthly, of course).

Yes, but what were the transfer fees?

From memory, about 2.6% in January 2020. It looks like they've toned down their offer a bit since then, because they're now charging 2.4% on an 18 month deal, which isn't as good.

As a stoozing proposition, it's of marginal viability. But if you've got a credit card balance somewhere, or a bank loan that you could pay off, it can still save you a fair pile of money. All you have to do is remember not to miss the payments.
