A Fool's Errand

Just glanced at Amati's half-year report, and I like some of the language. Lemon (not to mention the old flavour) Fools might be inclined to agree about our investing errand (under "Outlook", towards the end of the report):

Few of us could ever have imagined the first half of 2020 turning out the way it did, and so making predictions about what happens next feels something of a fool’s errand.

Amati has shown itself the wisest of Fools this past year, and after so many years in the doldrums is now looking very healthy in my portfolio.

Talking of which, it occurs to me that the pre-merger history is probably why Amati 1 was merged into Amati 2, as opposed to vice versa - which would have been more shareholder-friendly. It wipes out less-happy times from the historical section of the report.
