Octopus Apollo
Good half year update in RNS today, nav up nicely and a special divi of 3.1p in addition to the regular divi to reflect profitable disposals. One thing I did notice though was that after their major fund raise last year they are still running with what I perceive to be a high level of cash yet they are intending to raise more cash this year, hopefully they have plenty of good places to invest it, though with the size of Octopus perhaps that really is not a problem ?

Re: Octopus Apollo
By the way there is an existing thread about Apollo here:

Re: the cash, they've just done a £10m+ round into one company, I suspect they will have plenty of uses for it. Octopus seems to like to have plenty of road ahead in this regard.

sinterklaas
New offer opened this pm, 0% fee over nav for existing Octopus shareholders at Wealthclub for most of October as earlybird incentive.
I'm in already, I love a 0% fee (even if their performance fees are high).

Re: Octopus Apollo
I notice the discount is for holders of *any* Octupus VCT too. Smart move. Their AIM and Titan VCTs have always been more popular of course but neither is open at the moment, and Apollo is quite investible in my opinion.
And one cannot do better than 0% initial charge.

Re: Octopus Apollo
I note this is now fully subscribed, to my surprise. They decided not to overallot, at least for now.
Good job I got my application in early. I suspect some might have counted on it being around a bit longer for comparison with others yet to open?

Re: Octopus Apollo
I see they have just announced by rns today another 1.3p divi to be paid in May and, importantly, that they are going to raise further cash in the new tax year.
Hopefully this will still be on 0% to existing investors as it was for the last couple of years !

Re: Octopus Apollo
An encouraging HY report this morning from OAP 3, divi of 1.3p to be paid, NAV up since year end 6 months previously which is in clear contrast to Titan which took some big(ish) mark downs.
SP is up 7% on this news today, they will be announcing a new fundraise soon, as indicated 6 months ago in their final results.
Given the special divi paid of 3.1p in January 2022 has so far been a good year for holders.
