I use the Sharepad "live" tables in Google sheets
My Google sheet has a Sharepad worksheet & I use lookup functions to reference that from other sheets
This works fine until I want to add something to the Sharepad live table.
Then I need to create a new live sheet, upload it to google, copy or import to my working google sheets, delete the original "Sharepad" worksheet, rename the new one as "Sharepad" and fix all the broken lookup functions. It's particularly annoying that the lookup functions break, when I have kept the sheetname which the lookup functions use.
Is there a faster way to do this ?
Cutting and pasting into the existing live google sheet doesn't seem to work.
I'd even settle for something that doesn't break the lookup functions.
Google doesn't give the option to import into the existing Sharepad sheet.

Re: Google Sheets & Sharepad Live Table
Even if I have a sheet with lookups from other providers such as Yahoo etc deleting one line screws up or the refences on other sheets. Absolute pain that I've not found a solution to either!

Re: Google Sheets & Sharepad Live Table
To belatedly answer my own question.....
The Sharepad "Live Tables" have an IMPORTXML() function in cell A2.
Replacing the entire sheet or IMPORTXML() function does NOT work.
Replacing only the key within that function DOES work.
For this, I use VLOOKUP function with the stock ticker. It seems to manage adding and deleting rows quite reliably.
If I make the mistake of reordering the columns, of course it breaks. But that is more easily avoided. There's probably a fix for that as well, somewhere.
