Fool Python Upcoming Dividend Script

#72547

Postby BobbyD » August 6th, 2017, 8:51 pm

There was a post on fool containing a python script which produced a list of shares in your portfolio due to pay divis in the next calendar month and how much you could expect, using (I think) http://www.dividenddata.co.uk/.

It's something I kept meaning to take a look at, and by the time I get around to it the fool boards have finally gone...

Is it available anywhere else?

TIA

There's the HYPTUSS tool, which will do what you're describing, and it's still maintained and available from here -

Some screen-shots here, giving a flavour of it's functionality -

http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... shots.html

Note that it's available for both Windows Excel, and Open Office / Libre Office, so make sure you download the appropriate version if you're going to take a look.

Also note that there's multiple sources available for the dividend data, with the one you linked to above causing some lock-out issues for people that use the data-scrape frequently, so the default parameter is currently set to use a different source. You can change this yourself on the 'Parameters' sheet, in the tool.

There's an instruction PDF file in the download ZIP, which should get you going if you're interested, but if you've got any further questions then please just ask here.

Cheers,

Thanks, I've played with that before but have my own sheets set up for most of what I need. This however is a feature I've been meaning to add for a while.

That's the one, your time machine is obviously a bit better than mine,

Thanks.

I take that back, that doesn't look anything like what I remember playing around with some years ago and is all the better for it. Not quite what I want to end up with but I may well give it a spin during my very slow development process.

Thanks.
