How do I update the data sheet on HYPTUSS

I have downloaded the most recent version of the data sheet and it is now in my "Downloads" folder.
My HYPTUSS is on my desktop. How do I get the new data sheet into my HYPTUSS spreadsheet.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't work it out.

Thanks, norwichfool

I open the new file, copy the contents of the Digital Look Data Sheet (click in any cell, then control + a) then paste in over the existing Data Sheet (careful to select cell A1 before pasting - control +v)

Hope this helps

After the CTRL+A, you need a CTRL+C to copy to the clipboard. There is also a danger that perhaps the new version has fewer rows than the original, so I would suggest:
  1. If you are not 100% comfortable with these operations in Excel or LibreOffice, first make a copy of your HYPTUSS in case you corrupt the HYPTUSS
  2. Open HYPTUSS, then select the Digital Look Data Sheet
  3. CTRL+A to select all cells, then hit the Delete key
  4. In Excel (or LibreOffice), FILE/OPEN and select the new file digital_look_data_sheet.txt
  5. In the new sheet, CTRL+A then CTRL+C to copy all cells to the clipboard
  6. Select cell A1 in the HYPTUSS Digital Look Data Sheet, then CTRL+V to paste the data
  7. The file digital_look_data_sheet.txt can then be discarded.

Ah, thanks for the correction kiloran, I knew that of course just forgot to put it in the post.

I'm sure those of us who have added a few more exotics to the end of the datasheet know to copy those extras and append them when the updated sheet has been pasted.
I too think it is good practice to make a copy of your current HYP to try any changes on so there is a working earlier example to revert back to if you make a mistake.

Before you test it take note of the current Webfg problems as in this thread:

Many thanks for replies. All done now. Shame Webfg is playing up today.
