A heads up on an RNS that has been issued at market close today (my bold)

Aberdeen Standard Equity Income Trust plc (the "Company") announces that its name changed, with effect from 6 April 2022, to abrdn Equity Income Trust plc.

The Company's shares will trade under the new name on the London Stock Exchange from 8.00 am on 8 April 2022.

The Company's London Stock Exchange mnemonic (TDIM) will change to AEI from ASEI with effect from 8 April 2022. The ISIN, SEDOL and LEI remain unchanged. Shareholders are unaffected by the change of name and existing share certificates should be retained and will remain valid.

The Company's website address will shortly be amended to http://www.abrdnequityincome.com

They don't give us much notice, do they !

Thanks for "heads up", mike. My main irritation is when ticker changes alter the alphabetical position of the holding on my broker's spreadsheets and thus I have to alter my spreadsheets. Currently ASEI is first, before AAIF.

It means I have to juggle/change the order of the IT's listed on my several Xcel spreadsheets, to match my broker's versions, from whom I copy and paste updates.

On 5 January Aberdeen Standard European Logistics Income announced -
"The Company announces that, as anticipated in the Half Yearly Report published in September 2021, the Company's name has changed from Aberdeen Standard European Logistics Income PLC to abrdn European Logistics Income plc with effect from today's date.
The Company's trading symbol (or "TIDM") and ISIN code for the Company's Ordinary shares listed on the London Stock Exchange both remain unchanged."
How's that for consistency? or have I pre-empted a future announcement???
