Buffetology. Methinks it is a weasel.
I really don’t know where to post this, but recommend it to the house:

Steven Pinker, Tim Harford, Charlie Munger...

Seconded. I heard it on the wireless (Home Service I think) the other day. Meant to post a recommendation on here but forgot!
And curiously this programme was broadcast just a few hours after I found this YouTube video of clips of Mr Buffet and Mr Monger saying interesting stuff. Maybe it is well known on here but I've only just discovered it. Well worth watching to remind oneself of some fundamental truths about investing.

The Buffet video is full of great stuff for anyone who does not know of his views and even for anyone who does, it is well worth reminding yourself of his comments.
BTW the Home Service has been known as Radio 4 I think, for quite a long while now.

Back in the dark ages it was never 200kHz, or whatever, always 1500 metres.
Not sure why it wasn't 1640 yds

Sir,
I regret to inform you that, for some while now, I have been unable to receive 2LO here in Penge. May I respectfully request you recheck the siting of your valves?
Yours, etc., etc.,

Valves? What's wrong with a crystal set?

In 1988 it changed to 198kHz, with the frequency controlled by a rubidium atomic clock - so it has added about 15 metres.

The Buffett reference was a programme on t'wireless. Nothing off-topic about that.
In my youth I made a crystal radio, which picked up BBC World Service loud and clear, and some other stations with much more effort. Then I found I could still hear World Service when the earpiece was disconnected with wires just dangling loose.

I’ve heard tell that rarely, people can “hear” the radio through dental fillings

As an alternative to old radio channels here is a recording of Charlie Munger's 1995 talk at Harvard University in June 1995, titled "The psychology of human misjudgement", which is about 24 ways in which humans make errors of judgment. There's quite a bit of behavioural economics in this, in particular how we tend to respond to incentives, peer pressure ("social proof") and psychological bias.

Thanks for that. Nobody I can think of has ever talked more plain commonsense than Charlie. Or in such an engaging way.
