It's in my garden, near Glasgow. I'll get it posted to you.
It was a bit blustery here, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Found the bird bath! Phew. It was behind the shed hiding.

A couple of flower pots over and the bird feeder pole is at a jaunty angle. That's it really.

I think we're gonna make it.

Nothing much out of the ordinary south of the Campsies, although a couple of weeks ago there were a few trees down, and part of someone's washing ended up on our roof - no claimaints so far.

Very moderate here in the Kingdom aside from numerous bins blown over and a rich harvest of paper and plastic contents distributed to the unlucky downwind culdesac residents.
Yeah - you guessed it!

Back in the day.....a smokey nightclub, very poor disco lighting, some beers, some shots, some more shots, a bit of Dutch courage and....

....and the next morning you wake up in your bed in a hungover haze with your left arm trapped under that thing.

You are in a hightened state of alarm.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-64796926

To misquote Howard Payne from the movie Speed

Pop quiz, hotshot. Your wake up and arm is trapped under a brute. Once you move, the brute starts to stir. If you try to escape, the brute will awaken and will probably rip your genitals off.

What do you do? What do you do?

Last time I stayed in a bunkhouse it was £4 per night.

It was a while back though.

From the Northern Times:=

Its a few years since we last ate there - i.e. before the takeover, and it was excellent, but not cheap. Its a beautiful site and has a very smart modern dining room. Its a pity if the food standard has dropped. In sparsely populated areas, it can sometimes be difficult to replace top quality chefs - and that may be a problem. Chez Roux has also disappeared from the Inver Lodge Hotel in Lochinver.

I had my first ever avocado yesterday. I feel the urge to go and make a 'Tik Tok' (whatever that is) now.

Seriously though, I went for lunch with the missus yesterday - at lunchtime. The cafe was full of women or varying vintages and a few very young children.

The thing that got me about the place was the sheer racket. A wall of cackling and squawking ladies determined to out volume each other. It wasnt until I pointed out the noise level that the wife stopped, listened and eventually agreed with me that it was loud in there. Initially, she couldn't hear anything amiss.

Ear defenders next time. If there ever is a next time.

There is a tendency to construct tea rooms in modern buildings which are full of hard surfaces - large expanses of glass, tiled floors, smooth hard walls, minimally cushioned chairs and no fabric covers on the tables. All very attractive, and hygenic. So there are perfect sound reflectors all around, and few sound absorbers. Hence the noise problem. And if you are unfortunate to be seated near the centre of the room, all the sound reflections appear to be focussed on you. Then when you find it is difficult to hear what your missus is saying, you naturally raise your voice, like all of the other patrons. In engineering terms - positive feedback.
If you find yourself in such a restaurant, try and get a seat in a corner or in any other nook or cranny. :)
