Yes, but not in any great depth. They usually cover it during recorder classes for the eight-year olds, somewhere between Sur le Pont d'Avignon and Greensleeves.
A long time ago now, but I think that the discussion was about the inflexibility of adult music lessons compared to how it works in the UK.
Talking of music, not many people know that Chopin used to like composing and playing his piano at the top of mineshafts. Apparently, the wooden platform and beams amplified the sound. One day, the beams gave way and his enormous grand piano fell to the bottom of the mineshaft.
It's from there that he got the inspiration for his famous Study in A Flat Minor.
