Come on, British Airways! Where are you?
Steve
PS I've just been watching a few old Monty Python episodes on Netflix, so enjoyed this bit of news very much.

I pity that pub, all they did was bag the rubbish, they didn't take the rubbish to landfill or anything like that.

It kinda wears you down a bit reading it all to be honest.
Even if its half true, we might as well settle down with a bottle of pills, a bottle of whisky and watch the sun go down.
As long as it comes back up again in the morning

True, we can't even build warships with working propeller shafts now.

Ooh good one! From 1998 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lx3Ccs5tKfw 'Cockpit View Landing Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport'.
This is quite something in itself. What it doesn't illustrate is the view from passenger side-facing windows as the plane descended, amongst apartment buildings that progressively seemed to become higher than the plane was. I recall a sense of seeing people on their balconies and in their homes at the same altitude

Re: Things that make you go oooh thread....
I don't own a TV, so most of my 'watching crap on a screen' intake comes from YouTube..
I mostly seem to end up watching
(a) old music videos/live performance stuff
(b) guitar tutorials, and general music analysis (Rick Beato..)
(c) train and canal videos... I like Geoff Marshall's railway stuff
Facebook seem to have introduced an embedded video feature (reels/short videos)...possibly a YouTube TikTok cross?

Hours after the death of Her Majesty, Jaki’s Fish and Chip Shop posted a Facebook video with a staff member holding up a chalkboard that read “Lizard Liz Dead and London Bridge has fallen.”
The person then clumsily tried to refilm the event before spraying champagne over herself. She was filmed by another person. The video was then uploaded to Facebook.
Its on a number of news sources today. Just search 'Jaki Pickett'

What a very, very stupid woman!
Apparently, her shop windows have been smashed and she's gone away for her own safety.
What do these people have between their ears?

All that hard work undone in a moment of madness...or maybe the revelation of her true feelings about the Queen.

She's entitled to express her view.
People are entitled to find it offensive, and boycott her business. I think that would be my inclination.
But once they take to physical violence, that's straight into Charlie Hebdo territory.

Perhaps a deeply under pressure small business owner facing a ten grand energy bill that she can't pay and saw the Queens death as an outlet for her anger?
Or maybe she was just a dick.
I think she has several strange conspiracy theory type opinions. Like accusing Walt Disney of 'kid trafficking' and 'organ harvesting'.
