I saw that and was impressed by its ability to balance on two wheels. The suckers that stick to cardboard are also amazing.

Yurp, downloading films in seconds is totally pointless and a waste of data allowances (just wait until you're on WiFi...)
The big role will be Internet of Things (IoT)... lots of 'smart' devices imbedded in stuff.

Started off OK and then deteriorated, rapidly, until they had to give up.

Yes - it was highly amusing. And during the early working part of the interview the reporter couldn't get a better data rate than with 4G. I pity the poor sod from the telecoms company who set up the demo.

that marvellous technology that will be useless in summer with all the tree foliage that will block it
