What is it with media types, take something that works well and throw it away for something shiny which doesn't.

I agree with both sides of this long-running debate. I really HATE it when a slick and well designed product that works really well (e.g. iPlayer Radio, Windows XP) gets scrapped in favour of something prettier but more difficult to use.

On the other hand um.... err.... er...

Nope, there is no other hand.
