5G BioShield nonsense
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52810220
Through a process of quantum oscillation, the 5GBioShield USB key balances and re-harmonises the disturbing frequencies arising from the electric fog induced by devices, such as laptops, cordless phones, wi-fi, tablets, et cetera,
I give up....

Sounds like some technology you get to research in an SF strategy game.
There's a lot of 'em around.

Well those are the words of an external member of Glastonbury's Town Council 5G Advisory Committee, not the BBC, or the author, which you don't make clear.
I don't disagree with the criticism, but without correct attribution it is misplaced and leads the casual reader to believe the fault is with the BBC.

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
No they're not, if you actually read it - they are from the supplier website.
"The 5GBioShield was recommended by a member of Glastonbury Town Council's 5G Advisory Committee, which has called for an inquiry into 5G.
One of nine external members, Toby Hall, said: "We use this device and find it helpful," and provided a link to its website, which describes it as a USB key that "provides protection for your home and family, thanks to the wearable holographic nano-layer catalyser, which can be worn or placed near to a smartphone or any other electrical, radiation or EMF [electromagnetic field] emitting device".
"Through a process of quantum oscillation, the 5GBioShield USB key balances and re-harmonises the disturbing frequencies arising from the electric fog induced by devices, such as laptops, cordless phones, wi-fi, tablets, et cetera," it adds.
"its website" I assume means supplier rather than Glastonbury Town Council's

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
Apologies I read it as "his" website.
Goes to show how important it is to attribute correctly (which I also failed to do!).

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
I think I understand now:
1. Promote misinformation on social media that 5G is somehow related to covid-19.
2. Market overpriced products, claiming them to protect against this "killer" radiation which is in the same part of the electromagnetic spectrum as TV transmissions that have harmlessly existed for decades. (I understand that part of the current TV spectrum is currently being freed up for 5G use. That is why it is necessary to occasionally retune a freeview receiver in order to continue to receive all stations.)
Protective measures (a lot cheaper than £300) are available, https://mcphee.com/products/tin-foil-hat .
Regrettably, the nocebo effect can be a real problem. If you screw an empty box to the wall and tell people that it is a WiFi repeater, some of them might become ill.

The same Toby Hall:
Surveillance, IOT- Internet of Things, and 5G.
Crowd control, mind control, ‘voice to skull’, and the ability to manipulate individuals or groups of people emotionally, even to self-harm are achieved via RFR programming. This patented technology is being used worldwide. 5G is the vehicle for total control and the ‘surveillance state’, this is pernicious and dangerous.

And he had thought the company might be able to develop a system that could offer protection to the whole town of Glastonbury against the effects of radiation from electromagnetic fields.
... as long as they don't want mobile phones or television.

i had never heard of quantum oscillations in my far off electronics days , but it is recognised today .
however the balancing/reharmonising stuff is just made up .

I think there might be a market for app that can detect and notify if you are within 2m of a conspiracy nutjob?

Not health related, be I dealt with a complaint once from somebody convinced a new site of ours was interfering with their cordless phone system - it had started playing up when the new site was built.
I checked the site and it wasn't live - building complete and antennas installed, but no radio/transmission/power kit present. I even got a photo of the inside of the (empty) cabin with the antenna tails dangling unconnected.
Correlation/causation issues as usual. People love to have something to blame their problems on, and usually refuse to accept evidence.

Well if you get a Razor manufacturer naming his device as Mach3 Turbo, when it is extremely unlikely to travel at Mach 3 and it doesn't have a turbo - then almost any piece of nonsense can apparently be made up - and presumably expect to be swallowed by the masses!

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
Trading standards are cracking down on the sticker job, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52810220 .
I am not sure what I would call mine if I made my own but I have created a name generator to give me a few ideas. Pick one line from list A, one from list B, then one from list C and see what you get.
LIST A
Quantum
Nuclear
Government
5G
Government 5G
Illuminati
New world order
Lizard-people
LIST B
Electron beam
Positron beam
Single quark beam
Aether-wave
Electronic fog
Mind control wave
Neuro-blaster ray
Mass-compliance ray
Giga-death ray
Brain cell seek and destroy ray
Armour-piercing cranium penetration ray
LIST C
Neutraliser
Repolariser
Harmoniser
Reflector
Reverser
Annihilator
Transmutator
Mashedpotator
Eradicator
The "Mega" version would be ten times as effective as the standard version (mathematically true).

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
A former colleague of mine became a Metatron Bio-Resonance therapist...
You need a scanner to set yourself up as one
https://nls-diagnostic.com/en/metatron- ... e-scanner/
Apparently it has "internal generator – 4,9GHz" - odd , given that 3.4GHz 5G is bothering some people
All the information about the state of your body is delivered to the brain. We use special trigger sensors which are shaped as headphones in order to connect to it.
No, I think you actually just use headphones.

I see that it is good for psychosomatic illnesses so I can see how it might be effective. Gullability, however, is not listed.

Re: 5G BioShield nonsense
Anti-5G device' sold for £340 is a £5 USB drive, investigation claims. The BBC suggested the only difference between the devices was a sticker
An investigation by the BBC claimed the 5GBioShield, which was recommended by one of Glastonbury Town Council's 5G Advisory Committee, appeared virtually identical to a USB key available from Chinese suppliers.
