Coronavirus - Turnaround/Unlocking
Many business owners, particularly in events and hospitality, are facing a brutal decision whether to liquidate their business now or limp on for another few months while getting deeper into debt in the hope of a great turnaround/unlocking. It's a broad question but I am interested to gauge your level of optimism/pessimism as to when a vaccine, therapy or 'surrender to the inevitable' could allow the events and hospitality industry (e.g. weddings, parties, meetings) to get back to any form of normality.

Re: Coronavirus - Turnaround/Unlocking
(One further prospect that I didn't mention could be the availability of the 15-minute tests).
Thanks for the responses so far. The profile does seem to reflect the current uncertainty and terrible dilemma for some business owners.

Re: Coronavirus - Turnaround/Unlocking
I put Q2 2021. I think the virus will still be with us but by then a full year would have past, and the public consensus will have changed, to live with it to some degree. Not that things will fully open up, but a return to semi normality with social distancing still being practised. Thanks China

The big test will be this winter. Will death rates go back to their previously high levels, or stay relatively low? There was always a certain amount of confusion about how deaths were recorded and how much the virus contributed to them.

I wonder if Manchester and Wales - each at loggerheads with the centralised politburo - are the beginning of the end of government thinking or pretending it's in charge? Along with now (I think) widespread sympathy for the avoidably-desperate plight of students? They may be looking for the best way to Declare Victory and Move On.
Westminster - the only one in step. On this and other matters. Can't he go back to building fairy bridges and floating airports?
