Re: Fitba is on
Come on Wales
Bale needs to make up for the penalty miss (yes, last game, I know he made both the goals and the first one was a peach of a pass)
I just want to see him turn it on, if he pretends the Italians are Inter Milan it might help

Lets not go on too much about that
It would be worse if he had been born on the 80s

Waddle - great player but was his hair done to win a bet
Raheem Sterling has a fair crack at it too

It seems likely that he no longer has the searing pace he once had, a legacy of a poorish history of injuries

Re: Fitba is on
Not sure there can be too many complaints regarding the Wales result - they were simply outplayed by a much better side, but I've got to say that Daniel Siebert is the single worst referee I've seen in the tournament so far.
The decision not to give a foul on the build up to Denmark's second goal was just scandalous, and there seemed little chance of a Wales comeback from that point...
Well done to Denmark though - for them to be playing such good football whilst having only recently coped with the terrible incident with their team-mate Eriksen is a huge credit to the whole playing squad and management team...

I think the Liverpool players will struggle to influence the England game too much - the national team seem to have an unfortunate habit of breaking our players whilst they're wearing a white shirt...
Saying that - how nice would it be for Hendo to get his first England goal against Germany?
As I said earlier - it's heart-ruling-the-head time now...

Re: Fitba is on
Sorry I just don't rate Hendo
https://www.sportsjoe.ie/football/jorda ... gue-109773
He's the most capped midfielder without an England goal
and he even grabbed the penalty against Romania from Calvert-Lewin and then missed it !
However my track record of slating players means they tend to do well in their next match

That's Hendo MBE to you.
He plays too deep to get a lot of goals, although of course he lacks that instinct too. Only 32 club goals in his career; 26 for Liverpool. But there was that belter against Notts County.
That said there has not been a prolific England goalscorer from Liverpool since Andy Carroll. Sorry, Peter Crouch. Sorry, Owen and Fowler.

Gerrard scored just one fewer than Crouchy in an England shirt - 21 goals from midfield to the lanky-one's 22 playing up top...
Owen got 40, with Fowler just netting the 7 in an England shirt..
Crouchy had a funnier song, mind...
He's big,
He's red,
His feet stick out the bed,
Peter Crouch,
Peter Crouch...
I appreciate Hendo is likely to pass under the radar of anyone who doesn't watch many Liverpool games, but anyone following the team in recent years will know well enough how massively influential he is, and it's interesting to see that England have currently been missing the type of positive drive from midfield that he can offer, although his recent injury might stop him playing too big a part in this tournament....

There's been one England player in the last 29 years who has scored more goals than Owen, and his scoring record reads like a whose who of international footballing minnows. The problem isn't Liverpool's it's England's. That said Owen was always an England player on loan to Liverpool during the season, 'til he left to win trophies the year before Liverpool won CL no.5. Never even scored 20 league goals in a season.

Re: Fitba is on
I have always thought that the acid test of how you rate a player
is how would you feel if he came to your club....
and I would NOT be over thrilled if Hendo (MBE really... they used to mean something, but get given out to practically anyone these days!) came to my team
PS it's not all about goals
