Brill, just brill. Our Ronnie's not fooling anyone, look at the emotion he went through. He hugged Trump longer than some of his frames and wanted this one badly. Fully deserved and he really this time was far superior than all the rest. Onto No. 8.

Re: anyone watching right now
Really enjoyed this World Snooker Championship, and you've got to wonder what Trump could have done if he'd have been more consistent on the first day of the final. Great experience for the lad though, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him in the future.
Glad Ronnie was able to get number 7 under his belt though, if only because it raises the odds of him returning for number 8, which I really do hope to see.
I've followed the World Snooker Championships for as long as I can remember, and get lots of enjoyment from seeing many of the clips from previous years, but it still breaks my heart to think that Jimmy never won it...
Cheers,
Itsallaguess

Re: anyone watching right now
Heard a snippet early this morning on the radio but perhaps I didn’t get it right, something to do with there really was no incident with a supposed swearing by Ronnie and being told off. It was played back on the tape and that’s why Ronnie said I didn’t do that or say that? He was really upset at the time and most of us believe the ref cautioned him for swearing, but did he? I for one missed this supposed affair or wasn’t aware of anything untoward.
Anyone know more details what this was all about and what actually happened?

i think i heard it was a hand signal (to a member of the crowd presumably)
whlie I'm here just want to echo the comment by @Itsallaguess
JImmy white was SO unfortunate not to win the world championship
and he is likely to remain the greatest player who never won it

I think there were a couple of incidents:
O'Sullivan is already facing an investigation by the WPBSA disciplinary committee for allegedly making a lewd gesture after missing a black in the 13th frame of his 10-5 first-round win over Dave Gilbert.
https://www.skysports.com/more-sports/snooker/news/12243/12603830/world-snooker-championship-ronnie-osullivan-in-command-against-judd-trump-despite-referee-row#:~:text=O'Sullivan%20is%20already%20facing,round%20win%20over%20Dave%20Gilbert.
Then there was another incident in the final in which the ref. apparently accused him of doing the same but which Ronnie denied.
