Weevils probably increase the protein content...possibly a good thing. :D

If you are thinking of long-term storage then it would be better to store the grains in a seal air-tight container and mill them as you need them.

For flour, you can extend the life by vacuum sealing it. I would first freeze it to kill any potential bugs and then vacuum seal it afterward. You might then extend the life and best before date of the flour.

It is not a bad idea to do right now!
