I know I know - but I am going to mention the 'F' word knowingly expecting a bucket of merdre over my head. But did you see the results of Sunday's elections - now that's ungovernable.

Everywhere I look these days I just see the UK as a country that is an expert in kicking it's own Pink marshmallows. We just seem to make a total mess of everything.

We are ruled by a bunch of elites that just seems to be laughing at us.

Well, being mildly positive, the vaccine development and roll out was pretty good (especially the bits the politicians didn't fiddle with)
We do seem to have a history of unforced errors though - everything from TSR2 to Brexit
Perhaps all countries look a bit crap from the inside, even the smug 'perfect' ones (Norway, I'm looking at you..)

Skye does has Fairy Pools though, surely worth a thousand fjords :-0

We definitely have an overpopulation problem, particularly in London/SE, which reduces quality of life and impacts the environment. It's shocking to see how many green fields are disappearing under housing developments
Of course capitalism demands ever-increasing numbers of dumb 'consumers' and the politicians want working age taxpayers to support the retired and unemployed. Something has to change...

Norway made the most of their North Sea oil. Where did our "bonanza" go? I'm sure some got insanely rich but the country as a whole?

Didn't the oli 'bonanza' just dig us out of a hole in the 70's? Then Thatcher used it to fund tax cuts (from memory)

Yeah probably. I blame the Yanks for bankrupting us in two world wars. And how come Germany recovered so remarkably? And who said Norway was entitled to any of our oil anyway?

Anyway now we're out of the EU things are SURE to improve - Boris said so.....
