Errrr, it's 170km long and 500m tall!

I can see significant opportunities for window cleaners but the bird population might not be too happy flying into a 500m tall mirror.

Mmm, doesn't look too bad in that rendering, but it's all the gubbins that will accrete around it... roads, road signs, litter bins, bike racks, carsbuseslimos.....

Looks like they're going for the world's first arcology, but different from the usual dome or cube imaginings. I suppose this linear approach allows a lot more people to have windows to the outside!

It's from us buying their oil that they got the money to do this! The arcology is claimed to run off of 100% renewables and it looks like they plan to cover the desert in solar panels and the hills in wind turbines.

Oh, and become an exporter of green hydrogen, so they can carry on selling energy to the world ...
