I've just emptied one of my compost bins. My body is telling me that I've done enough work. Shovelling the best part of a ton is a good way to find out if you are getting old.

I think you would have had been better to try something less challenging!
However I remember my father's exploits around your age, and I'm afraid that he was usually deaf to our entreaties.

I realised iwas. getting old when i started referring to other people's children as "youngsters".

I shall be three-quarters of a century this year. I am not retired. Among my regular clients is a company for which I've bben acting for 50 years qhich was before the incumbent managing director was born.

It's a once a year job. Now I can get on with grass cutting and a bit of weeding. Then I can have an afternoon nap. Not today, though, as we are going out for a pub lunch.

Liked a lot, waiting to see our Great, Great Grandson at the family "Do" for my 90th next month and the promised 5 generation photos.
