ishares FTSE 100 June quarterly distribution reduced significantly

I have been a holder for the yield for several years. June quarter distributions in recent years have been (in pence per share): 9.45 (2017), 9.42 (2018), 10.56 (2019). The distribution announced today for June 2020 is 4.26. This (sadly) gives some clarity as to the scale of the reduction in FTSE 100 dividends this year.

Not surprising and obviously doesn't bode well for income seekers fishing in the FTSE100 pool. I updated my HYP spreadsheet yesterday evening and my month end dividend income over a rolling 12 months is down 4% year end 30/04/2020 and 10% for year end 31/05/2020.

On the Passive Investing board, a similar observation has been made about the FTSE 250 dividends.
