Recommended Acquisition of Alliance Pharma plc

The boards of directors of Aegros Bidco Limited ("Bidco") and Alliance Pharma plc ("Alliance") are pleased to announce that they have reached agreement on the terms and conditions of a recommended acquisition by Bidco for the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Alliance (other than the Alliance Shares held by funds advised or managed by DBAY Advisors Limited ("DBAY")) (the "Acquisition")

One I've probably held for far too long - now confirms recommended takeover at 62.5p (shares currently trading at 61/61.2 up around 38% on the day). Acquirer alreadys holds just under 30% of the shares so can't see any real likelihood of counter offers especially given it's recommended.

Alternative instead of cash is shares in an unlisted alternative - not sure that'll be popular.

Expected timeline for completion is the first half of 2025.

I just checked on iWeb and I could sell at 61.312p (cash now) as opposed to 62.5p at some point likely April/May (roughly 1.9% difference). Am in no real rush for cash so tempted just to wait it out for the little bit extra.

Damn I looked at this a few weeks ago. Pops up on a few screens I run. Something I didn’t like about it though. Will check my notes.
