Don't forget there's been quite a bit of dilution since, and some debt. I have to say I thought these were getting overpriced, but the market seems in that frame of mind generally of late. Maybe it's different this time.

Re: International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (IAG)
All of the airlines have had huge dilution with rights issues and other fundraising and I cannot help feeling that they will take some time to recover. Airlines are not a great investment at the best of times, either feast or famine. I will be leaving them well alone.
I have not followed IAG particularly but have followed Cathay Pacific and with a huge equity raising plus debt plus support from the HK Government it is going to be some time before shareholders see much return I think.

As you can guess from the timing of my earlier post I could not sleep but I was not worrying about airlines! I guess we could see a short term bounce in some. Monks bought into was it Ryanair? There must be money in some of them but so many are on life support that I certainly have no interest in the sector.

Re: International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (IAG)
In addition to the increase in shares ( September 2020, 3 for 2 Rights Issue) there will be no dividend until " at least 2024"....I guess it will then be a token dividend, potentially increasing from there. There is also the matter of a 19% Spanish with-holding tax further reducing any dividend. So, all in all, not on the HYP P list.
