A good Risk/Reward shell company spec...

One of the UK’s top tech entrepreneurs is again in charge of a listed company. Vin Murria has taken a stake and the reins of a new SPAC vehicle AdvancedADVT (ADVT).

She has a great track record of making money for her shareholders; so should one follow her?

Well, IMO, it is all a matter of Risk/Reward. Unlimited upside versus a possible downside of perhaps 20%. VM has said if no deal is found, then the cash raised would be returned. So, perhaps 95p back after a suitable length of time.

Looks to me like a very good small allocation spec @ 118p.

This is an interesting speculative possibility. I posted about Marwyn Value Investors recently and I note that they are heavily involved in this venture by owning over 15% of the stock. In fact the company was born out of Marwyn Acquisition Company 1 in December 2020. There is a lot of comment on ADVFN including from the OP. I am not sure if Barclays (my broker) will trade these but I might try on Monday.

Hi everhopeful - ADVT had quite an active trading day yesterday, with a rush of small buys. Maybe got a mention somewhere; though haven't found one.

Yes, MVI in for a good chunk. Another reason for having a position there too; especially as they are already on a 32% NAV discount, with more ZEG upside to come.

AJ Bell/Youinvest won't, unless you ring them, although EQi will trade on line.

Hmm - I bought through YouInvest, no problem...though first had to ask them to list the company!

You're right, they do now seem to be available to buy on Youinvest...

All gone quiet here after the initial excitement. Anyone know what the talented Vin Murria is up to?
