Braemar Shipping Services (BMS) guides FY-Feb23 U/L op profit £20m+, very materially ahead of the mgmt expectations of £12m. $ strength accounts for c.£5m of that. [SP=286.57 Cap=93m]

Cake Box (CBOX) warns FY profit significantly below market forecasts. Blames input costs and weak sales at the franchise level . [SP=176 Cap=70m]
Esken (ESKN) its global logistics partner that it will cease to use cargo operations at London Southend Airport from Sept. EBITDA hit for the remainder of FY23 c.£0.9m before exit fees receivable by Esken. FY24 hit c.£2.9m prior to any additional cost savings and/or new cargo agreements. Esken Renewables in line. EQTEC (EQT) in advanced discussions with a third party for the sale of Deeside Project, as mooted. [SP=0.45 Cap=43m]
LoopUp (LOOP) c.£10m contract win. Also Cloud Telephony sees 133% increase in customer wins and 252% increase in individual contract wins during the second year post service launch. Guides FY22 rev marginally above market expectations, at marginally lower profitability. Guides FY23 rev materially above market expectations at materially higher profitability. [SP=8.5 Cap=9m]
STM (STM) guides H1-June rev down 1% and EBITDA c.£1.4m (£1.5m). "Gibraltar and Malta revenues remain consistent and in line with management expectations. Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) agreement with KCA Deutag to manufacture up to 30 MFE220 units. Also CPH2 grants it a non-exclusive license to sell and manufacture CPH2 products in Germany, Scotland, Azerbaijan, Denmark and Norway. [SP=43.74 Cap=117m]
Avacta (AVCT) AVA6000 drug candidate receives Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for treatment of soft tissue sarcoma. "This designation provides tax credits and other incentives for drug developers addressing rare diseases. Most notably the Orphan Drug Designation will give Avacta, if AVA6000 is approved for treatment of soft tissue sarcoma, seven years of market exclusivity in the US." [SP=117 Cap=299m]

Surface Transforms (SCE) H1-June in line. Guides FY rev £1.5m below expectations but profit in line. Blames small delay in OEM 8 start of production, offset by higher than forecast development revenues with other customers. Hikes rev guidance for 2023 to 2025 by 10% almost wholly attributable to OEM 8. Energy price fixed to Q2 2023 when "significantly more efficient new furnaces reduce unit energy consumption offsetting cost increases". [SP=45.15 Cap=88m]
