Re: Rolls-Royce Group PLC (RR.)
Government has a golden share in RR to protect it's defence industry supply chain. I have long thought the RR civilian aero engine business was ripe to be bought out by Siemens. RR and Siemens already have business ties. But the rest of the RR business isn't really for takeover due to the golden share.

I guess sooner or later....integrated into BAE Systems (also has .gov as a Willy Wonker golden share).

This was originally posted on the Company Share news (LSE Main Market) board. That board is for published news surrounding companies (and perhaps a small amount of reaction to that news) rather than for general speculation, which is better suited here on Stocks and Share Dealing Discussions. Thanks. - Chris

Re: Rolls-Royce Group
Well I think aircraft flying hours are increasing albeit slowly. This should help with the figures.
The figures didn't look great though and I was expecting it to burn through cash until the flying side recovered.
A quick look on the flight radar app shows the sky's with some aircraft. It looks a lot busier than previous skegs at the app, so there is some hope it's starting to go in the right direction. That's more of a fag packet calculation based on just numbers not a scientific look at Rolls Royce engined planes.
