Ive seen that die to WA federal rules etc the 5th test at the WACA (Perth) wont go ahead.
but i noticed on TMS that Aggers has mentioned a 5th test.
Has that WA ruling been removed, or has the 5th test been moved elsewhere ? Or is it just a hope that the 5th test will go ahead by mid January ?

Re: Ashes 5th test
Right now it looks like it should be cancelled on compassionate grounds....
AIUI it won't be cancelled, it won't be Perth but they have yet to make a decision where it will go. Hobart and Melbourne seem to be favourites. And probably a day-nighter - I guess TV schedules are fixed and they're adjusting for the change in time zone?

It's academic. Australia will be 4-0 up by then ...

Re: Ashes 5th test
Confirmed that Hobart gets its first-ever Ashes Test, a day-nighter starting on the 14th January :

Seems fair enough in the circumstances, particularly since they cancelled the Test there against Afghanistan, although Shane Warne (Melbourne born & bred) is not happy, for some reason he thinks it should be at the MCG :
