Poor in the sense that there are a large proportion of people and the media that won't see him as a true world champion in the traditional sense.

It would have been much better had he overtaken Lewis Hamilton during the course of the race without the manufactured ending. Now there will always be this debate. F1, Lewis and Max have all suffered from this situation.

If I had been a gambling man and lost my bet on that manufactured outcome, I might have been taking things further myself. Hopefully the review will prevent F1 becoming a joke. Although I'm sure a few think it is already.

If Sir Lewis and Toto decide to call it a day as a result of the last race fiasco, Formula 1 might become a lot less interesting.

As a long term follower of F1, watching events where the rules are changed mid race, I'm wondering whether the sport is past its best.
