God knows why but the ST is now paying Rooney to write his own brand of drivel every week.
In his articles so far Wayne Rooney has done little but bemoan the plight of footballers.
His latest effort is to take a lowly Derby County player who earns only £2000 a week, as an example of the "hardship" he may suffer if subjected to a 30% pay cut. In case he doesn't know this, perhaps someone could inform him that £104,000 PA is 4 times the average salary and a salary of £70,000 is still pretty damn good.
He must have picked the young lad as the lowest paid player on the staff. The average EFL wage is £13,000 a week.
