I don't think he'll be sacked just yet because there were at least some mitigating circumstances. In particular, the large Saracens contingent have not played any club rugby this season and so looked incredibly rusty coming into the Scotland match. Of course, it begs the question why they were picked in the first place: Itoje is just Itoje, an absolute monster of an athlete but the Vunipola's, Jamie George and Elliot Daly all had poor tournaments.

That said, you have to question the tactical approach to some of the games. Too much poor quality kicking from hand IMHO and too many penalties conceded by stupid individual decision making.

So he has been coach for six 6 nations campaigns.

His record is 1st, 1st, 5th, 2nd, 1st, 5th. (including 1 Grand Slam).

Working in football not much surprises me with respect to managerial sackings, but that's not a bad record in my judgement. A sacking would be wrong, but sport is a funny old game, as someone used to say.

Also reached a World Cup final. I would think the performance against the AB's in the semi final alone would buy him some more time to sort things, despite the woeful performance in the final.

Well I'd like to see him go simply because England play such ugly rugby. I'm not a rugby aficionado, just going by what I see.

We'd all like to see England playing better, and they did against France, particularly in the second half but that's no reason in itself to sack a coach. The players have to take some responsibility for their own poor on-field decisions and performances. England had a good Nations Cup only last autumn. Besides everything else given their current financial situation, the RFU probably can't afford to sack anyone.

Fine by England I would think. Against Wales his record is ...

As England coach played 10 won 7

As Japan coach played 2 won 1

As Australia coach played 3 won 2
