If you didn't watch Raducanu's game live tonight and have amazon prime then watch it on catch up. Easily the best performance I've ever seen from a British woman. Bring on (probably) Barty!

From the BBC
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/58495531"British teenager Emma Raducanu's run to the US Open semi-finals was so surprising even to her that she had booked flights back to the UK a fortnight ago."
Well done Emma

"I'm so, so happy to come through," said Raducanu, who earns prize money of $675,000 (£490,000) for reaching the last four.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/58493663I doubt she'll be worrying

just saw her on TV
her comment about the flight she doesn't need
"It's a nice problem to have"
slight understatement from the girl who hasn't dropped a set on her way to the Semis

These are the moments in sport that stay with you. Watching Emma play takes me back to 1972 when Olga Korbut lit up the Olympics. I wonder if she gets to the final they will find a way to get it on terrestrial tv as they did for the cricket WC final. I hope so.

Well what a result overnight for our new British star of women's tennis -
British teenager Emma Raducanu reached the US Open final as her meteoric rise continued with a stunning straight-set win over Greek 17th seed Maria Sakkari in New York.
Raducanu, 18, extended her dream run with a 6-1 6-4 victory in which her dominance again almost defied belief.
She is the first qualifier to reach a Grand Slam final and will play another teenager Leylah Fernandez on Saturday.
Raducanu is the first British woman in a major singles final in 44 years.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/58511033And still not dropped a set in any of her nine matches...
Some details about the final for UK fans wishing to watch on Saturday night -
It's the women's final of the last Grand Slam of the season on Saturday at the US Open. What time is the US Open women's final?Players will be on court at 9pm BST and the final will get underway shortly after that. How can I watch it?Coverage of the US Open is on Amazon Prime Video for customers in the UK and Ireland. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tennis/2021/09/10/emma-raducanu-vs-leylah-fernandez-us-open-2021-womens-final/For those without Amazon Prime, the BBC Sports pages will no doubt be running their usual live interactive text feed of the Us Open final, and here's a link to
last-night's semi-final feed if anyone wants to re-live the action -
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/tennis/54517113A stunning achievement already, and who would really want to face her in this sort of form?
A reminder that before her run to the
Wimbledon last-16 earlier this summer, Raducanu was ranked
336th in the world....
Cheers,

I think a single Wow! doesn't do her justice. We all like supporting the underdog, but the way she is playing, she is anything but the underdog. Who would bet against her in the final?
And the sheer joy and teenage exhuberance is just brilliant to witness
