Italy 1 England 0
Bottom of the league, relegated already with one game still to play and just one goal scored in 5 matches.
That Euro final seems a long time ago now doesn’t it?
I blame us scoring an unexpected early goal in said final and then the typical ‘English’ mentality kicking in of trying to defend that lead for 80 minutes instead of pressing for further advantage.
We just haven’t looked the same ‘team’ since.

Re: Nations League
We've had a couple of very lucky near misses and when we were in with a chance, GS played it too cautiously.
He's had some very good players to work with too. Last night was "A step in the right direction." He's had six years for that. A PL manager wouldn't have had a third of that time.

Re: Nations League
Well a huge improvement in entertainment in a very open game.
I think England struggle with teams that hold back and counter. Germany constantly tried to get forward giving England some openings. Playing Saka in his proper position certainly helped. He looked terribly lost on the wing on Friday.
However Germany aren't the force they usually are, so my views on GS have not altered.
