St Davids, PembrokeShire

I'm a Scot who does not like large cities nor a hot climate for a holiday - but have been persuaded a few times to holiday, with 3 generations of family, in the South-West of Wales. This year, in the 3rd week of August, a hot climate was not a problem. Strong winds and adequate precipitation made me feel that I could be in NW Scotland. :)
St Davids is a Cathedral City - the smallest in the Uk

We stayed in a converted farmhouse, about a kilometre inland of Porthclais harbour, on the route of the Minibus service which connects St Davids to the coastal path at Porthclais, St Justinians, and WhiteSands. The drivers are very friendly, and will pick you up any where on the route. Its a much preferred service for an 80 year old who thoroughly dislikes driving around the narrow lanes with occasional passing places.
Here we are a St Justinians. The upper structure is the current lifeboat house - the lower one is the former one, which is now used for boat trips which circumnavigate Ramsey Island RSPB Nature Reserve.

That day we walked along the coast path to Whitesands, and took the Minibus back to our holiday home

A very pleasant holiday for a couple of oldies.
