Poll - Where are you primarily based?
Please vote in the Poll above.
Fully acknowledging this is "Around the UK" but I've included other options (restricted to 10 in total, so I've deleted Other Planet and Antarctica). The UK countries are in alphabetical order, as should be the continents.
I reserve the right to cross post from DAK etc.
I've only given one vote per person but will leave the Poll open. If someone moves, changing your vote later is an option.
That's about it. Feel free to say in which country you're primarily based, if not specifically named, should you so wish.

Re: Poll - Where are you primarily based?
I always thought the continent including Australia was Australasia (or Oceania?), but Wikipedia seems to think the grouping is 'Australia'
Although...NZ isn't included: apparently "New Zealand is not part of the continent of Australia, but of the separate, submerged continent of Zealandia. New Zealand and Australia are both part of the Oceanian sub-region known as Australasia, with New Guinea being in Melanesia
Glad that's clear then..

Re: Poll - Where are you primarily based?
I thought so too. My draft said Australasia but, this being TLF, I thought I should check. That’s why the submitted version shows Australia (the country). Does that mean someone from New Zealand can’t vote here?
Thank you for voting.

No, it definitely says Australia the continent!!
Perhaps NZ is incontinent?
Kiwis should have a vote - everything they say sounds like a question anyway?

Hmm. Still, a polling company would find away to extrapolate a forecast result from that.
Of those Total members, about 700 have posted 10 or more times. The current turnout is a startling 6.8% on that 700. Not bad for the first Poll on the subject and if we get to, say, 10% that should be fairly representative, at least on the UK split breakdown percentages.
Obviously many will not find the Poll and others won't bother voting. We are still waiting for someone from Australia to vote (accurately) and I know of at least one who's over there. South America presently on nil points.
I've cross posted at the Biscuit Bar and in the Land of those who Love Polls. I don't suppose I should bother further on the most active boards, such as the Land of the Dragons and the Hyppie place.
P'haps Beerpig's is where some of our missing Scottish residents are hiding, enjoying the unseasonally good weather.

You're right, the weather is unseasonably good..... it didn't rain this morning. Though this afternoon is making up for it.

I did look and thought that a great deal if not all of Central America is classed as being in the continent of North America. It looks like Panama is a special case but, depending on which side of the continental divide you are, you should be able to vote (if you haven't already so done).
Even better if you are our first voter based in South America(ish)***.
Edit: *** Was that you?

That might suggest you've already voted. Can you see a black dot within any of the white encircled Poll options? Alternatively, were you logged in here when you looked?

I hadn't voted; I can see a black dot; I was logged in.

Witchcraft it is then. Is the black dot in the correct place for you? If not you can change it. In fact you can play around to see if the Poll is now functioning for you more generally.
PS I missed your follow up post when replying earlier.

Votes cast now at 100 and Scotland into double figures. A landmark at last.

If there is extraterrestial life contributing to these hallowed boards then this poll regretfully fails to give them the chance to disclose it.
Perhaps the OP is deliberately trying to put us off the scent.

I can think of one rose-tinted, metallic extraterrestrial that takes the chance in every post to disclose his, er, inhumanity. I have met the being myself and he is far too intelligent to be from 'round these parts. I always thought that Panama was firmly in North America.
If you'll excuse the pedantry, it's got nothing to do with the Continental Divide - which stretches from Alaska to Argentina! An east-west (largely) water drainage thing.
