Refund on annual travel premium (AXA PPP travel)

Just an FYI

I have an annual travel insurance policy with AXA PPP travel, which obviously hasn't been used very much this year due to covid19/lockdown.
It generally suits my needs, and I reckon it's worthwhile compared to the hassle and combined cost of taking out a single-trip policy every time I travel.

I have just had a letter (unprompted) from the travel insurance with a £25 gift card, as an interim refund, saying that there'll be a further refund next March.

Caveat

That seems to be a very high premium for travel insurance.

True. But it's worldwide, including work, and USA. Also includes hiking to a reasonable altitude.
I am told (by my sister who is a couple of years older than me and had a similar policy) that the premium will jump substantially for me in a couple of years (age related banding), and I'll jump ship then. In the meantime, it suits my needs (although it doesn't look like I'll be doing that much travelling in the near future!).
