Thanks to the diligent campaigning of David Cameron’s government back in April 2016 we can now look forward to paying €7 and filling in some paperwork every time you cross the border into the EU.
This will begin in May 2023

Not every time. The ETIAS will last 3 years. From the first link above
Modelled on the US Esta scheme, non-EU citizens who do not require a visa will have to fill out a form and pay €7 before entering Europe’s passport-free Schengen zone. In 95% of cases approval will be given within minutes. If travel is allowed, the €7 fee – which applies to adults between 18 and 70 years, – covers multiple visits over three years.


Your ETIAS link confirms the 3 year term as well.

Yet more bureaucracy and we will be employing yet more civil servants to our side to do our version of this. What an absolute waste of time and money for all concerned.

Yet another nail in the coffin of the lie that Brexit would reduce red tape.
