Mrs M wants to contribute to a Zoom discussion group.
We do not have webcam and with most people working from home fetting one would take 4 - 6 weeks.
Without a microphone she cannot be an active member but she can hear and watch the discussion.
TIA

Android phone will do all of that. Just install the app (zoom is one of many that do basically the same thing) and you can speak, listen and watch on the phone.
For a better experience, fork out £20 for a headset. The kind of thing all those people out-and-about are using when they appear to be talking to themselves. That way not only is the sound clearer (especially when it's a meeting of many people that could get confusing), but you're liberated from holding the phone to your ear so you can use its screen and camera to do full video, screen-sharing, etc.

And in the meanwhile you can always connect to the meeting on both your PC and your phone, so you can hear and watch the discussion on your PC and contribute by speaking into your phone.

if all you're missing is a microphone; you can use a headphone speaker as one
- it'll normally be the left ear that connects to the correct point on a computer jack
a cheap headphone will often perform better than a cheap mic
