Thought I'd ask on here, as there's a seam of good tech advice/experience here, and the Draytek Vigors seem to have a good following here too.
I have a trusty Draytek Vigor 2830Vn, and it is showing its age (after 7 years of sterling service), and there haven't been any firmware updates for a while, and it's listed as "legacy" on https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/.
I'm currently using ordinary (EE) ADSL broadband on POTS, but would like possibility of future expansion to fibre (if it arrives).
I like the ability of have two VOIP phones on the 2830Vn.
I would also like in future the ability to have a connection via a SIM (4G), also as backup in case the ADSL/phoneline fails.
My set up is a small home/office
What would you recommend to replace the existing 2830Vn on that basis?
Would you stay with a Draytek Vigor (and if so, which model) or would you look elsewhere.
TIA
