Scam text

Had a text from '3' ('Three', the mobile phone provider) yesterday saying they couldn't process my latest payment and would I please update my information. Now as it happens, for other reasons I had logged into my 'MyThree' account a few days ago and noticed that the latest bill was showing as yet unpaid, despite it being a few days since it should have been. It's all done by d/d so normally there's no need for me to know about it. So I first checked the bank account, where I saw that payment had gone out as usual. Today I contacted 3 to sort this out. Done by chat system on their website: "Your payments are up to date, no worries on our side". "So why have I had this text?" "What text? Please forward it". So I do, and then see the link therein is (BTW don't click on this ) xttps://three.uk.3cl01.com/?my=3. They confirmed this is a scam.

It really is just a matter of chance I wasn't taken in; I had already seen there was an unpaid bill listed on the system, and this text came at just the right time for it to relate to that.

I've had a couple of those in the past purporting to be from Three.
A quick who is on the dodgy domain URL normally brings up some Panama registered company which will last for a matter of hours before it all gets blocked. I presume they sucker enough people in that limited window make it profitable...
